Elevate Your Skincare

Okay, flashback:

Not that long ago, I was in your shoes—struggling with acne, scarring, and dry skin. My head constantly buzzed with questions like, "What am I doing wrong, and why is my face breaking out?" Sound familiar?

It wasn't until I took a step back that I realized I didn't need an extravagant and complicated skincare regimen, especially if I wasn’t taking care of my internal. Instead, I paid attention to what I was doing in my day-to-day life.

Here's the deal: I found that a series of small changes, tweaks, and habits made all the difference. Over time, I pinpointed why my skin was breaking out and what I needed to do to get my glow back!

  1. Drank more water and became more mindful of what I was consuming: Healthy skin truly starts from within.
  1. Exercised regularly and took better care of my body: Did you know that sweating produces a naturally antimicrobial peptide called dermicide that helps destroy harmful bacteria on the surface of the skin?
  1. Stopped using 100 different products on my face: It's okay to try new products, but when you try a new product, give your skin time to adjust to it and see how it reacts before jumping to another product. Once you find a product that works, STAY CONSISTENT (I made my first bar of soap seven years ago, and that’s the only soap I used because it worked).

Keep it simple, a natural soap (fragrance-free), and a moisturizer will go a long way. Elevating your skincare isn't about complex routines—it's in the little things.
